Sinner/Rain

I don’t really have any explanation for this. Other than that I kinda love rain. And that it’s raining as I write this. So, here’s a poem about rain. Enjoy!

~

Let the rain fall down

and wash away the grime and shames

of all committed sin.

Let heaven’s water cleanse my soul

and trickle over my naked skin.

The drops beat out the rhythm

of a new start.

Each wet lick on the flesh

skilfully mending my broken heart.

So let me dance amongst the gray

in the wet marshes of the land.

Let my feet flutter betwixt the mud

let nature build me up

let me drink in that which I so adore.

So that I can come back to life

and become a sinner girl once more.
